Caprica International is a start-up company that provides a very unique suite of cutting edge management consulting services to a niche global clientele. The Founder and CEO, Paul W. Bradley, a well recognised business leader in Asia wanted a dynamic logo to represent his new company and its vision. His creative brief to Sticky SPY was that the logo must be futuristic. It must have elements from outer space including a planet in an eclipse with a star in the background and an energy force representing transformation in the universe. Included in this theme, the logo must also reflect a professional and corporate business image.
A Sticky SPY dream creator started the design process immediately. With the creative brief in mind, our creator began the process with multiple sketches of planets, an eclipse, stars, and rings in orbit. One of the challenges that we had was that a logo with planets and an eclipse are fairly common. In order to make the logo design exciting, our creator did something radical. He rotated the planetary objects about 72.5 degrees anti-clockwise. This created a different perspective on the objects, resulting in an exciting logo. A secondary hidden effect includes a modern Asian calligraphy that reveals the letter "C" and "I", the initials for Caprica International. A third hidden effect creates a modern heart shape to represent the need to focus on humanity in international business along with cross-cultural sensitivity. This reinforces the corporate values of Caprica International.
The resulting logo is a planet and star in an eclipse phase with a moon moving in obit, combined with a surge of energy moving across the cosmos representing dynamic business transformation.
Next, we explored colour combinations and font use for the logo name. An orange tone was chosen for the eclipse to give it the effect of light shining from behind a distant planet. A dull shade of blue for the moon and its orbit signifies harmony with the universe of untapped market potentials.
A bold san-serifs typeface in caps was selected for the name "CAPRICA". This blends in well with the futuristic logo as it gives balance and focus to the overall brand signature. The signature needed to have the name in full, which is Caprica International. In order to provide a tailing effect of a transformational energy force moving through space at light speed, a mild shade of gray was used on the word "International" in thin subtle typeface. The resulting Caprica International brand signature is unique, futuristic, and exciting, while simultaneously reinforcing a professional business image. Exactly what the client intended. Mr. Bradley was very pleased with the results.

The next step was to extend this exciting brand signature to a matching business card. Caprica International's business card design features a clean and modern professional look on the front. All primary contact information is neatly laid out with the brand signature prominently placed slightly below the center of the card.
The back of the card is designed to be radical to create a powerful visual impact. The oversized logo moving beyond the cards border creates a radically exciting effect.
